Wifi Settings

These commands are available three ways — in the FREE-WILi GUI app, in a serial terminal, and on the device itself. See Connecting it to a computer for how to reach them.

Enable Station Mode​

Connect the device to an existing Wi-Fi network in station mode, or disconnect from it

How to use it — press s.

SSID for Station Mode​

Set the name (SSID) of the Wi-Fi network to join in station mode

How to use it — press e.

What you enter — value.

Password for Station Mode​

Set the password used to join the Wi-Fi network in station mode

How to use it — press p.

What you enter — value.

Enable AP Mode​

Turn the device's own Wi-Fi access point on or off

How to use it — press a.

AP Auth​

Choose the Wi-Fi security type used by the device's own access point

How to use it — press u.

What you enter — value.

AP hide SSID​

Hide the access point's network name (SSID) so it isn't broadcast to nearby devices

How to use it — press i.

SSID for AP​

Set the network name (SSID) broadcast by the device's own access point

How to use it — press g.

What you enter — value.

Password for AP​

Set the password required to join the device's own access point

How to use it — press x.

What you enter — value.
