These commands are available three ways — in the FREE-WILi GUI app, in a serial terminal, and on the device itself. See Connecting it to a computer for how to reach them.

Note: Despite this menu's name, it does not launch an SD-card app - it jumps straight to an on-screen panel by its numeric ID. Real SD-card apps are launched from the device's own file screens, not from here.

Launch App

Switch the built-in display to the app with the given app ID

How to use it — press a. At the prompt, enter: app id.

What you enter — app_id.

Run App

Runs /apps/ on the display processor. The destination is inferred by reading the image, not the name: a UF2 whose blocks target SRAM is staged in RAM and launched; one targeting the PSRAM window (0x11000000) is staged into PSRAM through the loader stub and launched; anything else is written to flash. RAM and PSRAM launches leave flash untouched. A flash load takes 30-60 seconds with the screen blank.

How to use it — press r. At the prompt, enter: the UF2 filename in /apps.
