Sound Board
Found under GUI on the device's panel list.
Sound Board
A list of sounds to play, across four pages: your own files, built-in sound effects, simple tones, and spoken phrases.
The screen
A file selector, button pad, list, or grid appears according to the current screen. Selecting an item plays it right away, including the preset phrases on the SAM page. On the ROM page the first column shows the asset name and the second column shows its numeric asset ID. The complete installed sound catalog is available in 60-row grid pages; the explicit-content "HolyShit" asset is intentionally hidden. The green Speak soft button opens a text box for entering a custom phrase and reads the submitted text aloud.

The four pages
- ROM - every sound in the installed asset pack except the hidden explicit-content entry. Its left-half grid shows the sound name and asset ID. Up and Down move continuously through the complete catalog, automatically loading more rows at either cache boundary; Pg Up and Pg Down move one visible page at a time.
- Tones - a 4-by-4 multicolor button pad containing C, E, G, and high C in sine, square, triangle, and sawtooth waveforms. Its four soft buttons play the original DEF CON 30 Countdown, Darth, Rickroll, and Jeopardy buzzer songs through the built-in tone generator.
- SAM - a left-half list of eight preset phrases followed by the ten most recent phrases entered with Speak. Recents persist in
/sounds/samrecent.txton the SD card and can be selected to speak them again. Replay repeats the last custom text, and Voice cycles Robot, Woman, Man, and Weird voices. - User - the final view, with a file selector rooted at
/sounds/on the SD card and filtered to.wavfiles.
The Asset and SAM views show the Sound Board icon in their right half. The SAM caption displays Software Automated Mouth on two lines. Sound assets play at the level stored in their source wave files.
