Terminal

Note: This panel currently can't be opened from the on-screen panel list - its menu entry is commented out in firmware. The Wi-Li-nux folder now lists Linux Terminal instead, which talks to the CM0 Linux shell.

Terminal

A text console into the device: type a line, press enter, and see the response.

The screen

A scrolling log fills most of the screen, oldest at the top and newest at the bottom. Below it, a ">" prompt marks a text entry field where whatever you type appears before you send it.

None of Gray, Yellow, Green, Blue or Red do anything on this screen. Text is entered with the device's on-screen or attached keyboard input, not the button bar.

Typing a command

Type into the field after the ">" prompt and submit it to send the line to the device's command interpreter - the same one the console understands over USB. The field then clears itself and is ready for the next line. Anything the interpreter prints back appears in the scrolling log above.

Leaving the screen

HOME returns to the main menu, as it does elsewhere on the device.

Reached from more than one menu entry

The main menu's Skelltris, Wili8 and Doom entries currently all open this same Terminal screen too, as placeholders for those games.
